Advanced Oceanic Systems is affiliated with the Autonomous Ocean Systems Laboratory (AOSL) at Memorial University. Founded in 2010 by Dr. Ralf Bachmayer, Professor of Engineering and AOSL associate and Co-Principal Investigator Professor of Physical Oceanography Dr. Brad deYoung of Memorial’s Department of Physics and Physical Oceanography, AOSL currently has 25 personnel including investigators, graduate students, co-operative engineering undergraduate students and full time project engineering staff. Together the team is advancing the field with cutting edge solutions for harsh environments.
